This page sets out, in plain language, what ChargeBack is and is not, and the limits that apply to everything published on this website and to every service we provide. If any other page appears to say something different, this disclaimer takes priority.

What ChargeBack is not

ChargeBack is an independent case-assessment and documentation service. It is not any of the following, and nothing on this site should be read as suggesting otherwise:

• Not a bank, building society, or payment institution.
• Not a cryptocurrency exchange or custodian.
• Not a law firm, and we do not provide legal representation.
• Not a financial regulator or a government body.
• Not a law-enforcement agency, and we have no investigative or enforcement powers.

No recovery guarantees

We do not guarantee, promise, or imply that any money will be recovered in any case. Whether funds are returned depends on the facts of the case and on decisions made by independent third parties such as banks, card issuers, payment providers, exchanges, ombudsman services, regulators, courts, and law-enforcement agencies. ChargeBack has no control over those decisions.

Be cautious of any organisation that guarantees fund recovery. Guaranteed-recovery claims are a well-documented feature of follow-up scams that target people who have already lost money.

What we cannot do

There are things no private company can do, and we will never claim to do them:

• We cannot reverse, cancel, or claw back blockchain transactions. Confirmed cryptocurrency transfers are irreversible by design.
• We cannot freeze bank accounts, exchange accounts, or wallets. Only the institutions themselves, or authorities acting with legal powers, can do that.
• We cannot issue court orders, seizure orders, warrants, or subpoenas, and we cannot compel any person or company to act.
• We cannot act on behalf of, or with the authority of, any bank, regulator, police force, or exchange.

They are not legal advice, financial advice, or a recommendation tailored to your circumstances, and reading them does not create a client relationship with us.

Service availability

When to consult independent professionals

For decisions with legal consequences — starting court proceedings, responding to demands, settling a claim, or anything involving significant sums — consult an independent lawyer qualified in your jurisdiction. For urgent action on your accounts, contact your bank or card issuer directly and without delay. To report a crime, contact your local police or national fraud-reporting service. To complain about a financial firm, use your national regulator or ombudsman service.

Our reports and documentation are designed to support those channels, not to replace them.

How we communicate

We will never ask for your passwords, seed phrases or recovery phrases, private keys, one-time passcodes, or full card numbers. There is no legitimate reason for us, or anyone else, to request them. If you receive a message asking for any of these in ChargeBack's name, do not respond — report it to us through the contact details published on this website.

Genuine communication from us comes through the contact channels listed on this site, including support@charge-back.com. We do not cold-call people about losses, and we never ask for payment in cryptocurrency or gift cards.
